INTRODUCTION

Patrick Barbe was born on July 20th 1950, in Normandy, near the Mont Saint Michel. Very keen on horses since his childhood, he shared his youth between studies and showjumping. A licensed riding instructor, he graduated from the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce de Paris in 1972. One year was spent with the French Army Equestrian Team in Fontainebleau. As an amateur rider, he enjoyed winning a few races against the professional jockeys over the jumps.

After spending two years with the very successfull Godolphin Darley Agency in Paris, Patrick founded his own company.

Since the beginning, our customers found themselves extremely lucky, Indianapolis was bought in foal at the 1976 Deauville broodmare sales, she was carrying Policeman, the winner of the Prix du Jockey Club in 1980 (French Derby).
We were also very successfull with Deep Roots, bought for 80,000ff at the 1981 Deauville Yearling Sales. He was champion 2yo, winning the Group 1 Prix Morny and the Group 1 Prix Salamandre.

Patrick specializes in horseracing and breeding in Japan, where he has sold many famous stallions such as Hector Protector, Baillamont, Black Hawk, Helissio, Groom Dancer, Allez Milord and Dream Well are just a few of many.
Patrick has also purchased and the dams of three recent Derby winners, Tayasu Tsuyoshi ('95) Fusaichi Concorde ('96) and Neo Universe ('03).

Patrick Barbe is the President of the "l'Association Francaise des Courtiers en Chevaux de Sang" (French Bloodstock Agent Association) since 1998 •
